These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Grate Chef, a product of Aurous Business Services, operated by Nirmal Thangaraj. By using Grate Chef, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Grate Chef is a meal planning and grocery comparison platform designed for Indian home cooks. The service includes recipe discovery, meal planning, grocery list generation, price comparison across grocery platforms, kitchen stock tracking, and a creator platform for recipe contributors.

2. User Accounts

  • One account per person. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account via Google sign-in.
  • You must not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. User-Generated Content

Grate Chef allows creators to submit recipes through our Creator Panel. Regarding user-generated content:

  • Creators retain ownership of their recipes but grant Grate Chef a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute the content on our platform.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any user-submitted recipe. Users follow recipes at their own discretion.
  • We reserve the right to review, approve, reject, or remove any user-generated content at our discretion.

4. Health & Nutritional Disclaimer

Grate Chef is NOT medical or nutritional advice. The nutritional information, dietary tags, and meal suggestions provided are for general informational purposes only. They should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for dietary needs, food allergies, or any health-related concerns.

5. Affiliate Disclosure

Grate Chef earns commission when you order groceries through our platform via affiliate links to partner grocery platforms (BigBasket, JioMart, Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit). This does not affect the price you pay. The prices shown are the same as what you would find directly on those platforms.

6. Grocery Orders & Third-Party Platforms

  • All grocery orders are fulfilled by third-party platforms (BigBasket, JioMart, Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit). Grate Chef is not responsible for delivery, product quality, availability, pricing accuracy, or refunds.
  • Any issues with orders should be directed to the respective grocery platform's customer support.
  • Grate Chef provides price comparison data on a best-effort basis. Prices may vary from what is displayed due to real-time changes on partner platforms.

7. Price Comparison Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate price comparisons across grocery platforms. However, prices, availability, and delivery fees may change in real-time. Grate Chef does not guarantee that displayed prices will match actual prices at the time of purchase.

8. AI Features

AI features (AI Chef, YouTube Recipe Extractor, Meal Planner, Smart Substitutions) are powered by Google Gemini AI. AI suggestions are for guidance only — always verify ingredients, quantities, and cooking instructions before cooking. Grate Chef is not liable for AI-generated content accuracy.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Grate Chef name, logo, design, and proprietary features are owned by Aurous Business Services.
  • Recipe data sourced from public domains is attributed where applicable.
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute Grate Chef's proprietary content without permission.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of Grate Chef is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to our data collection and usage practices as described therein.

10. Limitation of Liability

Grate Chef is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurous Business Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to food-related incidents, incorrect nutritional data, or grocery order issues.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new terms on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Grate Chef after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of Grate Chef shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
